After a long winter in Toronto (not as long as usually is but it's still long) I could see again some flowers coming back in Spring, this time in Niagara Falls.

I will appreciate any help for getting their name.

Torch Ginger (Nicolaia elatior)
This spectacular flower is one of the most beautiful of all flowering tropical plants in Bali. Both leaf and flower stalks emerge separately from underground tubers. The most common form has bright red flowers, though there is another with pink blossoms.

The flowers grow from rhizomes. They have erect shoots; each composed of a stem and leaves and often terminated by an inflorescence of frequently bright color that comes from the bracts rather than the actual flower.

Las December I took some photographs while visiting Coyoacán Market, a very traditional place in Mexico City. Some small flower shops were selling these very very Mexican flowers. There are two or three kinds of "Flor de Noche Buena" (the red one), a very common flower during Christmas season. It is said that it is originally from this land.

Those Daisies (and some other types of flowers) were in sale at a Flower Shop outside "Panteón Jardín", a very famous cemetery in Mexico City. I was just amazed with their colors and bright.

Probably its flower is not as interesting and beautiful as its fruit is, but it is worth watching it. Its name is Sayote (a Filipino native word I guess...). I founded it on my way to the Chocolate Hills, in Bohol Island, Philippines.

I found this flower on the riverside of Loboc river, during a trip from Loboc town to Nuts Huts jungle resort. Bohol Island, Philippines. November, 2008.

I found this flower at a garden just aside of an ancient Turkish mosque, in Harbin, China.
One more time, Tomoe, told me the name of this flower: "Datura metel", known as "Devil's Trumpet".

After a long long period of time I'm back with some very nice pics of wonderful flowers I found nearby an early 20th Century Turkish mosque in Harbin, Northeast China.

I was very surprised when I saw for first time that red velvet color, amazing!

If someone knows the name of these flowers I'll be very pleased to let me know it.
